Over the last few years, the number of people we can reach on various social media is rapidly shrinking. So if you want to make as many valuable connections as possible you should definitely consider email marketing. Here’s why.

First of all, it’s all about versatility. This channel can be effectively leveraged for drip campaigns, newsletters, and re-engagement campaigns–integrating into many different levels of your digital funnel.

Secondly, email marketing is your jack-of-all-trades. It can meet various goals throughout the sales cycle compared to other channels.

Finally, is cost-efficiency. It requires little to no initial investment to set up a campaign. Both a domain and a G-Suite subscription are enough to start reaching your prospects’ inbox successfully.

What do you need to launch a successful email campaign?

The first would be an email database. Segment your audience based on the industries, titles, companies’ sizes. It’s the first and probably the most important step. In fact, according to Campaign Monitor, marketers have found a 760% increase in email revenue from segmented campaigns.

So make sure that you’re sending messages to the right people, keeping it clean, and verifying email addresses properly.

Otherwise, it can cost you low domain credibility as well as delivery, open, or reply rates.

The next one is email content. Take care that you have the right messages with personalization and a proper call-to-action.

The thing is, we can’t assume that a client will buy from receiving just one email.

Create informative yet easy-to-read email scripts. Stick to 4-level scripts for the beginning to have a valuable, smooth, and more personalized conversation.

Your 4-level script should include:

  • A simple and polite first email message with information about the service you offer and a soft call to action: maybe to talk about a possible project?
  • An informative second message with additional valuable information for the prospect: educational content that could help the prospect to learn more about the service.
  • The third message with a direct call to action, where we point out the benefits of collaboration with the client
  • And a follow-up message to those who replied that they were not interested thanking them for a valuable connection. Actually, it happened in the past that thanks to this follow-up we were able to convert one negative answer into a positive one!

The last one would be an email tool. There are numerous options, and you need at least one to automate all your routines. There are various tools out there that work great, but to ensure our success, we use a combination of tools that allows us to do a perfect balance between sales engagement automation and safe email sending.

A combination of Apollo & SendGrid is perfect to run our email campaigns. It provides the biggest number of features, allowing the email campaign to run smoothly and effectively. Check out the features we get access to from this combination in the table below:

It all is simple and effective if you do it right.
